The AF drive continues to use the VXD4 linear motor focusing mechanism, which combines class-leading speed and precision for fast and accurate focusing. The precise calculations used to update the 50-400mm F4.5-6.3 (A067) and 150-500mm F5-6.7 (A057) have been reworked to improve tracking of moving subjects, ensuring you never miss the action, whether shooting stills or video. In addition, the 70-180mm F2.8 G2 is equipped with TAMRON's VC5 mechanism. This suppresses camera shake, which tends to occur when shooting at the telephoto end, during close focusing or in low-light conditions, for sharper results
